eye ooo. This is a slightly strange resource, and I've not seen anything quite like it before. Simply whack in two or three URLs and view all the pages on the screen at the same time in split pane. You do have to scroll though - they're full size, not sized smaller. Bit of a shame that you can't save the URL to share with other people, but if you want to do some quick comparisions between sites/pages this might be worth a look.

Favigen is a Favicon Generator. The little images you get in the top left hand corner of the browser address bar. Been around for years, but quite fun. This creates them for you quickly and easily.

hooeey webprint Save Your Web History In A Browsing Library. Hooeey goes beyond links. It builds a personal library of browsed web pages on the user's computer automatically. Both text and screenshots are captured in the user's web library. Every page you visit is stored in realtime as a screenshot and as searchable full text archived on your own computer. You can store, tag, search and share webpages that you have visited. hooeey webprint also has the ability to store the user's web library on a number of different storage services such as Google Docs, Zoho, Amazon S3 and of course, on hooeey webprint's own cloud.

Instacomment is a service allowing website owners to add an instant comment system to their pages. Use it wherever you think comments would come in handy.

Link Extractor Webmaster Toolkit. This is just brilliant. Give it a URL and it goes away and collects all the URLs and displays them for you to do a cut and paste.

Printfriendly Save your webpage as a PDF with Printfriendly. Put in a URL and it'll churn around for a while and produce a version that's print friendly, or a PDF and which you can tweet/email around the place. I've been trying it for ages, and it doesn't seem to want to play for me, but you may have better luck.

PrintWhatYouLike is a free web page editor that gives you control of how web pages look when printed.

Smart Bookmarks  Firefox Add-ons. This is nice. It allows you to get rid of all of the text for links, and just keep the favicon instead. As a result you can get up to 50 links on the bookmark line rather than the 14 or so you can with use of words as well.

Texty: The Simplest CMS. It allows you to create some text and then it gives you a bunch of code that you can put where you want. If you then want to go back and change the text, simply change it at Texty and this gets reflected in all the places you've copied the code to.

WebWait - Benchmark Your Website. This is great - whack in a URL and this'll tell you how long the page takes to load. Great for web designers.

bit.ly, a simple url shortener. It does exactly what you'd expect.

BudURL. This resource allows you to tiny URLs as other services do, but you can also track them with lots of really good data. Free plans and paid.

Crum.bs Shorten your url's. OK, let's start with http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia_pacific/10463227.stm and shorten it with bit.ly to http://bit.ly/atB0r8 Ignoring the http bit, we have a 13 character URL. Shorten the same link with Crum.bs and we have http://crum.bs/l/av which is 12 characters. So yes, shorter! You can also use a custom extension, such as crum.bs/yourname. You can even password protect your link and limit the amount of clicks to your crum.bs link, though it's not entirely clear to me why you'd want to do that, but still.

DigBig - Long URLs shortened. Run by William Hann from FreePint

doiop Allows you to choose the extension for the shortened URL. Simple, free, easy

Krunchd - Krunch Multiple URLs into One Short URL. This is looking interesting, and the twist is in the title. If you have a collection of them, you can add them to a list.

LinkBee is the medium to archive and bookmark all your favourite links across the web and earn money doing so.

MultiURL Your one stop resource for link sharing. MultiURL allows you to combine multiple links into one short link that you can quickly and easily share with your friends, colleagues, on your blog or any other website. It makes the process of sharing multiple links at once so much easier, quicker and safer. Why would you want to use it? If you've got lots of links, and little space - in an article, end of a chapter, in a slide for example. Or if you want to send a list of links to someone to get them to check them quickly, without having to cut and paste one after another. You can edit the list and add or delete links to update and amend lists.
