Over on the Microsoft Internet Explorer Weblog there's an entry about IE7. Apparently betas will be available this summer. It's an unintentionally very funny entry... Microsoft is appearing to be very upfront and says that they're listing to their customers and they are committing. I guess the fact that Firefox has proved to be a huge runaway success has nothing to do with it? Quite frankly, I'm not holding my breath on this one, and I'm fully expecting to be using Firefox by the end of the year. My bet is that a new version of IE is only going to attempt to tie the user even more closely into the raft of Microsoft products and quite frankly, that's not where I want to be going.
