I now realize that we are all slowly killing the Earth. We can't burn fossil fuels. Makes the world too warm. We can't use nuclear energy..Can't get rid of the waste..Might blow up and kill us all. Can't use windmills..kills too many birds. We can't drive our cars..uses too much fossil fuel and makes too much pollution. There's going to be a crisis of not enough fresh water because we use too much. Solar energy isn't the answer..Too diffuse. The Amazon is going to turn into a savannah..we burnt down the rainforest. Everything human is bad for the earth. Doom is upon us! There..You have made your point!
What used to be an interesting, educational and enlightening magazine is now a rag for the ecologists and liberals. There used to be "The Amateur Scientist" There used to be "Mathematical Recreations". It used to be a good magazine. Now I can learn more from the (free) "NASA Tech Briefs" and various trade magazines I get at work, and without all the politics. After a very long time of loyalty to Scientific American, I don't think I will be renewing my subscription. All of us ignorant and uninformed humans (Mostly the Americans) are in the process of killing the Earth, and all of you elitists are in the process of killing what was once a great magazine. Regretfully, Fred Reed Massillon, Ohio
Its in our nature to destroy ourselves. Destroying the earth wont be a problem for us in the future though, we'll all be long dead when that happens.
