Blinkx has been launched - it is supposed to be able to index your hard drive and find relevant material for you. However, as this items shows - John Battelle's Searchblog: Blinkx to Launch it apparently seems to be fairly dire. I've not tried it myself, but over in Freepint people have been reporting exactly the same thing.
