Digging for Googleholes - Google may be our new god, but it's not omnipotent. By Steven Johnson This article suggests that Google has bias (wow! There's a surprise) in the type of returns that it gives you. Specifically it will provide shopping sites, or sites that focus on a particular term, or which use articles not books. The whole focus of the arguement used by Johnson is painfully flawed, but it's interesting (and quick!) to read. May be useful for trainers to point out to new searchers though.
