I've heard rumours that Google is re-directing non US users to the appropriate local version of the search engine. Not the most intelligent idea that they've ever had, but still. Though to be fair, this change was supposed to have been implimented on the 14th, and I've seen no sign of it myself. There is a link to the US version from any local version you might end up at, but if you still want to bookmark the original, the URL you need is: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en. At least, so I'm told!
